Over the years, Berkshire Training Services has grown from small beginnings into a leading provider of Corporate Training in the UK.

With an ever expanding number of satisfied customers across the Globe, Berkshire Training Services (BTS) has successfully pursued an expansion strategy both in terms of developing their team of Trainers and also by providing tailor-made innovative solutions for organisations across several countries and industries.

BTS trainers are chosen for their solid training experience and their passion for bringing out the best in people. They come from an extensive variety of professional backgrounds, including psychology, business administration, management consulting, and education. All hold the relevant qualifications, and undergo an extensive selection process on joining BTS.

Shaun Williams FPC MSC

With hands-on experience as owner and operator of several successful business ventures, and his extensive training in leadership, communication and relationships, he not only teaches and talks, he’s lived and walked the walk. He knows that leadership is a relative term. Too often it is simply defined by the person who is in the leadership role, rather than being defined by the critical attributes and characteristics that personify positive, active, motivated and effective leaders.

His passion and ability assists leaders to fully recognise who they are today, moving them forward to where they want to be tomorrow. They can and will take charge of their life through the creative principles, strategies, tools and the continuous support Shaun offers. Qualities often unknown begin to emerge as Shaun challenges clients to stretch and grow, seeking balance between professional and personal – while reaching for greater satisfaction and productivity in all of their life roles.

Shiraz Khan BSC MBA

Shiraz Khan is one of the directors at BTS. He brings with him extensive training experience gained through a variety of senior management roles, academic positions, training and development for diversified industrial and business environments. He has designed and managed professional educational programmes, and has extensive experience in communications and marketing. Curriculum planning and programme execution remain his key responsibilities at BTS. He holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor in Computer Science (BSc) from the University of Hertford.

Shiraz uses a participative and consultative training style and a variety of methods such as exercises, discussions and self-reflection to encourage experimentation, thinking and learning. His key questions to his learners are always “how will this benefit you” and “how are you going to use this?”

David Screen CharteredFCIPD FR Met S DipM

Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer, Head of Human Resources and Organisational Development, Head of Professional Development, Director of HR, Business Strategy Consultant, Change Leader are some of the examples of David’s executive management experience gained over a period of 20 years.

A multi-talented professional qualified trainer, David has a genuine passion for helping others to make their lives more meaningful and rewarding.

David is a Fellow of the UK Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and a Fellow of the Royal Meteorological Society.

Amongst his many accomplishments he led the Communications and HR change service for a national organisation transferring over 1,500 staff and their families out of the South-East of England. Over a three year period more than 80% of the workforce successfully transferred to the new location. Most importantly there were no breaks in service over this period despite constructing a new building, moving staff and their families, supercomputers, and extensive international communications over hundreds of miles.

David has helped organisations, teams and individuals to improve their performance by establishing not just what needs to change and why but how the changes need to be effected. One of the hallmarks of his reputation with clients is his ability to transfer skills to the team throughout the implementation process.

He understands and appreciates that satisfying a vision can only be achieved by effective leadership and people management. David has significant experience of helping individuals to take greater control of their personal development.

Dr Sharmila Banerjee PHD

Dr Banerjee of BTS has over ten years of English, ESL and foreign language teaching experience in colleges, private schools and universities. Among her many accomplishments,she obtained her PhD in applied physics. She has also played a senior role as a research associate in Wales and there she carried out various training workshops. She has also joined the world renowned UK research council (Science and Technology Facilities Council, UK) as the Science Strategy Manager. She obtained her management qualifications from Canfield University and English teaching qualifications from Oxford professionals and is a PRINCE 2 practitioner.

Eulinda Ogiste

Eulinda Ogiste of BTS has over 23-year’s experience as a lecturer/trainer in the areas of Human Resources, Strategic Leadership and Change, Management, Banking and Insurance with various Colleges and Universities. She has also designed and managed professional workshops for several years. Curriculum planning and programme execution remain her key responsibilities at BTS.

She has a deep belief that by creating amazing places to work, companies not only drive their own growth and profits; they deepen the meaning in the lives of their employees and clients.

Among her many accomplishments, her work with training first line and senior managers from a variety of public and private sector organisations and the banking industry was widely praised. She has a PGCE in teaching and learning, and a Master’s Degree in Manpower Planning that is further enhanced by her TDLB Assessor/Verifier Vocational Training Awards. She has conducted extensive research and made numerous presentations on managing people, leadership and change management. She is currently pursuing a doctoral programme.

Daniel Stane BA(Hons) DipM (Certified Master Coach)

Daniel Stane is a renowned international facilitator, coach and consultant specialising in improving employee engagement in organisations through more inclusive and effective leadership and management.

Daniel’s previous track record includes working as Head of Export for the UK branch of one of the world’s largest multi-national manufacturers, Linde AG where he developed and led a multi-million pound global business. He has a BA(hons) in international business, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in strategic marketing.

Speaking several European languages (with fluency in English, French and Czech), Daniel has travelled and worked across all 5 continents and, as a result, understands and connects well with a diverse range of nationalities and cultural contexts. Daniel is a Certified Master Coach (Behavioural Coaching Institute/International Coaching Council) and has accreditations in two leading emotional intelligence tools, the Bar-on EQ-i and MSCEIT, as well as diplomas in trans-personal psychology, emotional literacy and group facilitation.

Daniel also regularly facilitates international leadership programmes for an educational charity where he has worked with groups and coached individual leaders from over fifty countries. He lives in London with his wife and two children, is a keen skier, long distance runner and cyclist and has a passion for performing music.

Joanne Taylor

Joanne Taylor, Owner of MRA Consulting brings over 10 years of hands-on experience in leading and managing small businesses to Berkshire Training Services (BTS). Joanne has seen first-hand what works and what does not work when building, growing, managing and leading several companies. Joanne has been involved in developing customer service departments from scratch, setting procedures and standards, and hiring and training staff.

Joanne has sat on an Administrative Committee for a direct marketing company to provide strategic planning assistance, develop marketing and sales strategies and help run the day to day operations. As co-host of a business webinar series – Strategies for Growth, Joanne has created and presented 8 of 12 topics designed to keep businesses moving in a forward direction. Joanne currently volunteers with her local Board of Trade as a facilitator for a small business mentoring circle and also serves on a committee for a church ministry dedicated to helping the unemployed.

Philip Bradbury BBS ACA CAT CAE

Accountant, Business Coach, Managing Director, CEO, Turnround Consultant, Lecturer and Corporate Trainer are just some of the positions Philip has held.

Philip ran his successful chartered accounting business and, based on his ability to help recover sinking businesses, he was asked to address business groups on business survival skills and business excellence. He was then invited to coach businesses and to address and help business people, senior government officials and individuals in several countries.

Philip has taught the subjects of Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Strategy, Strategic Management, Global Marketing, Business-Start-Up and E-Business in colleges, universities in several countries, as well as being a corporate trainer for a British development bank.

Philip’s firm belief is that any organisation can only be as successful as the people running it. If they are honest, mature and caring in their daily lives, then the organisation will reflect that. This led Philip to study personal development and psychology and to run personal development workshops across the world.

Such is his passion as a communicator with a desire to help bring out the best in people and organisations, he has had 14 books published and he continues to write.

Philip’s perennial question is, “How is that working for you?” The test of any idea, technique or system is how well it is serving people. If it is not working then something must change. It is this change process that Philip has become very adept at, helping organisations move from good to excellent.

Dr. Joseph BamideleCeMAP, PhD

Resilient, goal-driven and student-focused, he communicates and listens with great attention to detail and is able to produce quality results under pressure. He has vast experience in the field of education and research. He is a true professional with a strong understanding of the ethics and principles of regulatory compliance and rules.

He has been a visiting lecturer at The Universities of Reading and London

Emma J Lacey

A professional career which started in retail and customer service led to a variety of leadership roles in both the private and public sector. Her professional experience has given Emma a real passion for developing people to make the most of their people skills, take ownership of and exude confidence in their roles. An enthusiastic, imaginative and outgoing trainer, Emma particularly enjoys working with first line and senior managers to get the very best from themselves and their staff. She has a thorough approach to planning and training design, and gets serious about consistency, reliability and customer service in all aspects of her training delivery.

Emma’s expertise as a manager is widely sought to provide an external source of guidance and advice and she relishes a voluntary role working as a mentor with strategic directors. Emma has completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Portsmouth University, as well as a range of teaching, training and vocational assessor qualifications.

Emma has experience of delivering a broad range of skills-based training programmes to all levels of staff. Her style is informal, practical and dynamic and she likes to tailor training to the needs and circumstances of the group in order to maximise the impact.

Emily Lucas Specialist Teacher Drama and Dance

Emily trained at the Urdang Academy of Performing Arts in Covent Garden, London.

Following her graduation she taught Jazz, Tap and Musical Theatre to children of all ages and adults, and danced in a variety of troupes. Emily has enjoyed a number of professional dance positions overseas including work both on Costa Cruises and MSC Cruises and in a casino in Macau, Hong Kong.

Other professional highlights include dancing for Rod Stewart at the Millennium Torch Concert, at the after show party for the film Chicago and television appearances dancing the Can Can.

Emily qualified with the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) and has enjoyed teaching Street Jazz, Tap, Ballet and Musical Theatre in a number of schools in Berkshire. She supports our Corporate Training through role play sessions which help with communication and understanding.

Malcolm Kodia BSc and City and Guilds Assessors and Coaching Awards.

As an experienced consultant and presenter, he has worked extensively in the field of training, in areas such as high impact presentation skills, personal effectiveness, anger and stress management, negotiating skills, time management, communication skills, team building, leadership skills and many more.

Malcolm also specialises in IT Training, both Microsoft and bespoke in-house software training.

He has experience with working in many industry sectors ranging from the construction industry, food sector, public sector, defence, marine, fire and rescue services and property management.

Malcolm uses a variety of methods when training delegates ranging from presentations, activity based learning, practical exercises and many more. Malcolm is well liked by the students for his innovative, engaging and motivating techniques and is always conscious of addressing the business needs whilst addressing the needs of the training participants.

Tom Smith

Tom Smith graduated in English and Philosophy at the University of East Anglia. Following graduation he worked at Norwich Arts Centre before taking up a position with a local record label and distributor; eventually becoming a Label Manager. In 1990 he was offered a senior role at a London Export House. During his seven years as a Regional Account Manager he was part of the team that helped the company win a Queen’s Award for Industry.

Tom was awarded a grant enabling him to establish his own company. In 1999 he received a NATWEST Entrepreneur of the Year Award in recognition of the setting up of a successful new business. In the early 2000’s he began working in conjunction with the organisation ARTS2U – which offered the services of arts professionals to local schools. Working initially as a Freelance Tutor, he was then asked to write and present a Creative Writing Workshop. He eventually wrote and presented a series of workshops in schools and colleges across Merseyside and North Wales.

In 2010 he qualified through courses at TEFL England as a Teacher of English as a Foreign Language; with certificates for Distance Learning, Business English and teaching both adults and children.

He now regularly teaches a variety of groups, teaching Business English with a particular slant on the use of Creative Writing.

Alastair Greener (MPSA)

Alastair joined Berkshire Training Services in 2011, specialising in Presentation Skills and Corporate Communication. With over 20 years of experience presenting on television, videos, radio and stage, he leads insightful, interactive and inspiring workshops.

Alastair spent 16 years leading a team of over 100 professionals on Cruise Liners, such as QE2 and Queen Mary 2, while being the face and voice of numerous training videos for three different cruise lines. He also represented the cruise industry as a spokes-person on media road shows and press conferences.

As a performer he has worked extensively on television in the UK and USA as well as on numerous corporate and training videos. Alastair is also in demand as an after dinner speaker and MC for events ranging from charity auctions to awards ceremonies.

Having attended numerous courses at institutions including the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and Cornell University, he has developed exceptional training skills.

Recognised as a member of the Professional Speaking Association (PSA), he shares his performing and corporate experience to groups around the world, covering subjects including Presentation Skills, Effective Communication, Powerful Use of PowerPoint, Handling the Media as well as Management and Leadership.

Stephen Tymruk Music/English Teacher

Stephen is a qualified English as a Foreign Language teacher and plays a variety of musical instruments including the accordion. He also plays in a band. He often uses music as a basis for his language sessions and provides a focus for our groups to enhance their experience through British culture and music.

Sardar Hayat CeFA, CeMAP, MQP, MBA IT

Sardar Hayat is the Executive Director and Corporate Trainer of Berkshire Activity Courses and Berkshire Training Services.

As one of the founding directors of Berkshire Training Services, Sardar has a passion for using techniques to enable business success. He is committed to customer satisfaction and firmly believes that giving expert corporate training can enhance the lives of his clients.

Hannah Jackson Global Marketing Manager

Hannah Jackson has an honours Degree from Exeter University. She has been with the company for over 3 years now and has presented online corporate videos and hosted numerous Awards Ceremonies. She manages and supervises the marketing operation in BTS worldwide offices. She also writes for a various magazines and been involved in designing sessions at BTS.

She teaches classes on Presentational Skills/Advertising and Marketing.She believes in teaching communication skills to children, young people and adults, highlighting the importance of presenting yourself well, learning how to be confident, and believing in yourself.

Yahia Lasheen BSC MEG, MA EG

Yahia is a positive, agile and results driven Regional Director with a highly successful background. He brings 33 years of senior management experience to BTS. He has a track record of transforming organisations through change management with a strong reputation for delivering challenging objectives in short timescales. Yahia Lasheen has also been working as a member of BTS Board of Directors since 2011.

Samantha Rea

Samantha is a member of our Business Relations Team. She also makes presentations on behalf of BAC and BTS in our ceremonies and conferences.

Ann Hayat

Ann is the Course Director at BTS. She makes sure everything runs smoothly with our venues, accommodation, catering and teaching. She is the person to go to with any problems!

Gillian Wilson B Ed Hons Course Co-ordinator

Gillian supports the team in all the arrangements and documentation leading up to and during your visit. She will do your orientation presentation on your first day. She is also the first port of call for Group Leaders during the programme and often accompanies groups on their day trips.

Sam Latif Excursion Manager

Sam is a member of the team who meets and greets our groups at the airport and brings them to our venues by coach. He is also part of the excursions team taking our students on day trips and making sure they get the most out of their visits to our historic towns and monuments.
